Description
Support Pōhāhā I Ka Lani programs & stewardship while feeling the coolness, breathability, and sun protection of a lightweight and breathable shirt.
This shirt has the phrase “Paʻa Ka Honua i nā Keiki a ka Pōhāhā” (The Earth is Heldfast by the Children of Pōhāhā) on the front, which is a line from the chant of Hiʻiakaikapoliopele (Buke II, Helu 50, 31 Iulai).
The Koaʻekea logo is on the back, referencing our Koaʻekea site at the Waipiʻo Valley Lookout PONC property. Kāhuli also is the name of the White-tailed Tropicbird (Phaethon lepturus) that frequents the area, and was the name of the husband of Ka-holo-ka-iwa from a legend of Waipiʻo Valley. Koaʻekea is also the place where the famous chief of Waipiʻo, ʻUmi-a-Liloa, entered the valley to overthrow his cruel brother and help his people.
The organization name “Pōhāhā I Ka Lani” on the left sleeve.
